General: registration, premises, safety

You will soon be visiting Huisman. In order to be well prepared for your visit, we will tell you what you can expect when you arrive on the premises, during your visit and when leaving the premises. You will learn more you about our regulations regarding safety, health and the environment. We will also make you aware of the possible risks during your visit and explain what measures we take to minimise these risks. This is how we ensure the safety of everyone who enters the premises.

Huisman CEO David Roodenburg welcomes you to Huisman's HSE portal.

2. Arriving at our premises

Huisman is located in a port area and must therefore comply with the ISPS rules. In this video, we will tell you what this means for you. We explain where and how you can register with Security, where you can park and what the maximum speed is on the site.

3. Navigating our premises

The Huisman premises consist of several offices and workshops. You will learn more about these different locations. In addition, we will explain how you can reach the desired locations and where you can sign in and out. We also explain the locations at which you are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment and from whom and where you receive this equipment.

4. Leaving our site

Are you leaving our site? In this video we will tell you where to hand in your visitor's pass and how to leave the site safely. We also explain what a possible inspection entails, as this may be done by our Security staff when you leave the site.

5. Environmental risks

On the site, there are various situations that you must take into account or be alert to. We work with large equipment, installations, and high voltage. This entails certain risks. Therefore, in this section we will tell you more about the regulations and procedures that apply.

6. Incidents

Huisman has a team of Emergency Response Officers ('Bedrijfshulpverleners'; BHVers). We will explain what they do, how to recognise them and how to engage the emergency response officers. We will also tell you what to do in the event of an emergency and how to report an unsafe situation.
