Welcome to Huisman's HSE portal. The safety of everyone who enters our premises is of great importance to us. On this portal, you will learn all about the regulations that apply on our premises and the measures that Huisman takes in the field of safety, health, and environment. We ask every visitor, (sub)contractor, and employee to carefully go through our HSE instructions. Our aim is to ensure that everyone is aware of our regulations, in order to minimise the possible risks that may occur on our premises and to guarantee everyone's safety.

Module 1

General: registration, premises, safety

You will soon be visiting Huisman. In order to be well prepared for your visit, we will tell you what you can expect when you arrive on the premises, during your visit and when leaving the premises. You will learn more you about our regulations regarding safety, health and the environment. We will also make you aware of the possible risks during your visit and explain what measures we take to minimise these risks. This is how we ensure the safety of everyone who enters the premises.

Module 2

Getting started at Huisman as a production employee

Getting started with Huisman. You will learn what to expect on your first day of work. For example, we will introduce you to the timeclock system and our Golden Rules. We also explain when you should wear which work-dependent Personal Protective Equipment and where you can get this equipment.

Module 3

Getting started at Huisman in the office

Getting started with Huisman. You will learn what to expect on your first day of work. For example, we will introduce you to the Golden Rules and the Huisman Service Portal. We also explain when you should wear which work-dependent Personal Protective Equipment and where you can get this equipment.

Module 4

Managing risks

At Huisman, we ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. We therefore want to make you aware of certain risks that may occur when entering the workshops or the premises. We will also inform you about the procedures that everyone must follow. This includes performing a Last Minute Risk Analysis or a Job Safety Analysis. This is how we minimise the risks.

Module 5

Work operations and risks

When you work at Huisman, you come into contact with all kinds of machines, installations and tools. There are also high-voltage locations and work is done at heights and with hazardous substances. This entails certain risks. Therefore, in this section we will tell you more about the regulations and procedures that apply. Everyone must follow these. This is how we ensure that everyone always works in a safe and healthy manner, and we limit the risks to a minimum.

Module 6

Incidents

Despite all the measures that Huisman takes, an incident can always occur. It is important to know how to get help in the event of an incident. We will therefore tell you more about the role of our Emergency Response Officers ('Bedrijfshulpverleners'; BHVers) and how to reach them. In addition, we explain what to do if the alarm goes off and how to report an unsafe situation.

Module 7

Wellbeing

The well-being of the employees is very important for Huisman. There are various departments to which you can turn with questions, comments, or suggestions about well-being. We will tell you who you can turn to for what. We will also give tips on how to handle work pressure, and you will learn about the possibilities that Huisman offers to improve ergonomics in the workplace. In addition, we would like to draw your attention to a number of points to take into account, in order to promote a pleasant working environment.

Module 8

Office safety

Huisman does everything possible to ensure safety in the office. The large stairwell around the centrally located Atrium and items lying around on the work floor create risks. We want to ensure that you are aware of this and tell you what measures you must take to minimise these risks. We will also discuss the regulations relating to fire safety .

Module 9

General hygiene

At Huisman, we have a number of basic conditions relating to hygiene and eating at the workplace. By applying all of these rules, the workplace remains tidy, and we prevent the spread of viruses and the attraction of pests. We will explain the rules one by one.
